St Albans North Primary School.
Design and construction of a new 500m2 indoor and outdoor teaching and learning facility at the heart of the existing school.
Including new classroom areas, staff facilities and bathroom amenities, the new building has been designed around a central space to be utilised as a covered outdoor learning area.
Siting for the new building means that it acts as a link between the traditional classroom areas, the multipurpose space and adjoining playground.
Building on these adjacent activities, the design of the new building will offer a nexus between play, learning and workspace to create a versatile and light filled space flexible for a multitude of uses.
Project value: $1,665,000 (excl GST) including design, consultant and authority fees, factory and site based construction. Completion date: 2019.
